Memoria Perdida will be part of the exposition Ecos de la Memoria at the Museu de Belles Arts de Castelló.

"When the earth is disturbed, memory is also disturbed. Over the last twenty years, coinciding with the exhumations that began to take place in mass graves, photographers have begun to give voice to a silenced memory that other generations have been unable or unwilling to express. Despite not having experienced the Civil War at first hand, the legacy of a traumatic past echoes in their bodies. Their gazes are constructed from a certain emptiness - that of uncomfortable family silences, institutionalised forgetfulness or the absence of reference points - and a certain distance - that of being the clean ones who have grown up in democracy. But the echoes vibrate. They vibrate and emerge in their photographs."
