Villafranca del Bierzo II, León.(2016). A 28-year-old day labourer, Inocencio Cristalino García, was buried by neighbours outside this cemetery on 13 January 1937. He was finished off by the Guardia Civil after he leapt from the viaduct of Villafranca.
Inocencio Cristalino García, 28, a day labourer with leftist ideas, was not married, but he shared his life with a woman who had given him a child and was pregnant. On 12 January 1937 the Guardia Civíl went to look for him at his home in Vilela and he was killed near the river after jumping from the viaduct of Villafranca in a desperate attempt to escape. Some neighbours buried him in the civil part outside the cemetery.
